The rules for using Tiny Desk AI: what you buy, what you may upload, and what you get.

Last updated: 2026-10-28

The service

Tiny Desk AI generates a short tiny desk concert video from your lead singer's photo — the site's house-band characters fill the other four roles unless you upload your own band photos. Videos are generated with Seedance 2.0, a video-generation model developed by ByteDance. Credits are sold as one-time packs — $9.90 for 1,000 credits, $19.90 for 2,000 credits, or $29.90 for 3,000 credits — and a video spends credits by quality tier. There is no subscription, and nothing renews.

Your account

An account is required so your purchases, credits, and videos stay yours. You are responsible for the activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

What you may upload

You may only upload photos that you have the right to use — your own face, or photos of people who agreed to it. You must not upload photos of real people to mock, harass, or impersonate them, and you must not upload anything illegal. We may refuse or remove content that breaks these rules.

What you get

The finished video belongs to you: download it, post it anywhere. One honest limit — the meme borrows the Tiny Desk Concerts format, so do not present your video as official content of NPR, a Tiny Desk production, or any artist. Tiny Desk AI is an independent meme tool, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NPR, any artist, or any venue.

Payments and refunds

Payments are one-time purchases processed by our payment providers. Each generation consumes one video credit. If a generation fails, the credit is returned to your account automatically — you never pay for a video that was not delivered. Refunds beyond automatic failure refunds are handled case by case: contact us through your account page with the order number.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: break applicable laws, infringe anyone's rights, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with the service's operation, resell generated output in a way that implies an official connection to NPR, Tiny Desk Concerts, or any artist, or use the service to produce harmful or deceptive content about real people. The content standards below are part of these terms.

Content standards and prohibited categories

Every upload and every generation must follow these standards. You may not use the service to create — or to try to obtain, including by working around our checks or the model provider's safety filters — any of the following:

  1. Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any sexual or sexualized depiction of a minor, real or generated. There is no exception and no warning: we remove the content, close the account, preserve the records, and report it to the authorities.
  2. Pornography and non-consensual sexual content. Explicit sexual material, and any sexual or intimate depiction of a real person who has not consented to it, including "nudify"-style edits of photos.
  3. Graphic violence and gore. Gratuitous depictions of extreme violence, injury, mutilation, torture, or death presented for shock value.
  4. Hate speech and targeted harassment. Content that attacks, demeans, or dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation — or that bullies, threatens, or harasses a specific person.
  5. Deepfakes and impersonation. Presenting a generated video as authentically showing a real person, or impersonating a real person to deceive or defraud. (See "What you may upload": you need the depicted person's consent, and the meme context never makes a video "official".)
  6. Copyright and trademark infringement. Content that infringes someone else's copyright or trademark, including protected characters, logos, and works you do not have the rights to.

If you break these rules

We may refuse a generation before it runs, remove content, suspend or close your account, and — for serious or repeated violations — cancel remaining video credits. Credits already consumed to produce content removed under this section are not refunded.

How to report

If you see generated content that breaks these standards — or a video of you being misused — email support@tinydesk-ai.pro with the link or order number and a short description. Anyone can report; you do not need an account.

How we review reports

Generation requests pass our own checks and the video model provider's safety filters; requests that fail are refused and the credit is not consumed. We review every report we receive, aim to acknowledge it within three business days, and act where the standards above are broken — up to removing content and closing the account. For reports involving potentially unlawful material, in particular CSAM, we preserve the relevant records and cooperate with law enforcement.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, and we may change or discontinue parts of it with reasonable notice where possible. Material changes to these terms are announced on this page with a new date at the top; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
